During the 16 days of activism for the elimination of all forms of violence against women and girls, Necuvinte Association has created the “Surorile Mirabal” Library. Should you be curious to find out more about the life and courage of these three women, in the memory of whom United Nations has declared the 25th November an international day of civic engagement and activism against the gender-based violence phenomena, you can find their story here.
The “Surorile Mirabal” Library, financed Global Fund for Women, can be visited since the beginning of January, 2020. The books you can find here are relevant for our field of activity: you can check out papers about feminism, sexual education, gender-based violence, the psychology of a relationship or criminology.
We look forward to welcoming the students who research these subjects, or the curious people who like to read, while enjoying a cup of hot chocolate standing in the armchair next to the library. We would also love to host some literary debates, in a friendly, informal environment.
In addition to this, the “Surorile Mirabal” Library is open at any time for those who want to donate books.
