On 25.08.2017, according to the Decision no. 210 / 25.08.2017 The Constanta County Council approved the establishment of the Counseling Department for the Prevention and Combating of Domestic Violence as a component of the Service for Interventions in Abuse, Neglect and Family Violence, as well as the establishment of the Emergency Module for Victims of Domestic Violence.
The Counseling Department for Preventing and Combating Family Violence ensures functioning of the emergency telephone 0341/921 which is free and operates non-stop. By calling this number, victims and witnesses of abuse can receive useful information, legal advice, psychological counseling, family mediation, vocational guidance, or they can request the mobile team that can move to the scene in order to help remove the victim from the abusive environment.
Emergency Module for Victims of Domestic Violence is a social service that provides free of charge and for a limited period of time, family assistance to both victims and minors under their care, protection against the aggressor, health care, food, accommodation, psychological counseling, legal counseling, support for adapting to an active life, professional insertion for victims of domestic violence, rehabilitation and social reintegration. The module has a capacity of 4 seats.
Both services are subordinated to the General Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection Constanta.
