Between September 01st – 03rd, Necuvinte Association was present in the Republic of Moldova at the invitation of Centrul de Drept al Femeilor for a series of mentoring sessions and exchange of best practices between the two organisations.
Centrul de Drept al Femeilor (CDF) is a non-governmental organisation registered in 2009. CDF was established by women lawyers from the Republic of Moldova to ensure that the gender perspective is present both during the drafting and application of the law. The CDF advocates for equal status for women and men in public life and in the family.
The mission of the CDF is to ensure the promotion and protection of women’s rights and to contribute to the reduction of domestic violence in the Republic of Moldova.
Necuvinte Association’s team was formed by Simona Voicescu, the director and founder of the organisation and Alina Iordache, communication expert and trainer in non-formal education methods in the contexts of gender equality and domestic violence.
🔹️In the first session there was an exchange of experience and good practices, operational plans, projects and advocacy experiences;
🔹️New opportunities were explored in promoting organisational sustainability, fundraising activities and partnerships with the business environment;
🔹️At the end of the day there were discussions about the motivation for contribution and change, about teamwork and organisational development, about internal and external factors.
🔹️Methods of non-formal education were presented in contexts of gender equality and domestic violence.
🔹️The importance of volunteers in an organisation and the empowerment of young people, ambassadors of gender equality.
🔹️Ideas of developing services for victims of gender-based violence and domestic violence and issues related to the creation of partnerships with the health system and forensic medicine.On the last day, future plans were made and common activity objectives were established.
