Project implemented by Necuvinte Association within the SAVE Program (“School Anti-Violence Ecosystem”) coordinated by the World Vision Romania Foundation and co-financed by the European Union
Implementation period: 12 months
Grant value: 30.000 EUR
In the context of the alarming increase in violence in schools at the national level, the regional variations of this phenomenon and the problems related to reporting, identifying, managing and monitoring cases, as well as the devastating consequences on children, the project “A life without violence: preventive education in schools” aims to intervene punctually in 3 localities in Ilfov County, a county known for the high number of reported incidents, and in 3 localities in Olt County, where violence is present but poorly reported.
General objective:
Reducing violence in schools and promoting a safe and supportive educational environment for those involved in the educational process, in line with national and EU values, in the Romanian school system, specifically in Ilfov and Olt counties.
This objective aims to actively involve students, parents, teachers and local experts in the development and implementation of effective prevention and intervention measures, including through the creation of educational programs, training of teachers and facilitating collaboration between all parties involved.
Specific Objective 1:
Increasing the level of information and awareness among students, teachers, parents and local experts about violence in the school environment and its forms, as well as about effective ways to manage it, through the implementation of integrated educational programs.
These programs will include educational sessions and interactive workshops to provide essential knowledge and practical strategies for prevention and intervention.
Specific objective 2:
Improving collaboration between parents and teachers to prevent and manage school violence, by conducting counseling sessions that address the impact of the socio-family environment on violence, the rights of the child and the services available for its protection.
The creation of effective and trusting partnerships between parents and teachers for a common and integrated approach will also be promoted.
Specific Objective 3:
Training teachers and school staff in preventing, identifying, reporting and managing violence, through training sessions with experts and exchange of good practices.
