On August 23, at Cinema Victoria in Bârlad, the eighth event of the National Caravan was held.
Necuvinte Association, together with Vaslui County Police Inspectorate, representatives of the General Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection, Vaslui, discussed the problems faced by Vaslui County in the field of domestic violence and identified possible solutions to improve services and protection for the victims. The absence of representatives of the Local Public Administration, which are part of the actors involved and can help to improve services was brought to discussion.
In this respect, Necuvinte Association has assumed the role to put pressure on the public institutions in Vaslui to allocate the budget to help people who want to get out of an abusive relationship.
Another problem that has arisen was the access to information of people in the countryside and the difficulties they encounter in identifying jobs.
Although the system has gaps, Vaslui County is one that protects victims of domestic violence, both from the point of view of justice, as statistics show it and form the point of view of the social services provided by DGASPC Vaslui. In the first 7 months of 2017, 90 orders of protection have already been issued, exceeding the same period last year, and the issuance period has dropped to 24 hours.
We would like to thank the representatives of IPJ Vaslui, Chief Commissioner MACOVEI IOAN – Officer of the Department of Crime Prevention and Analysis, sub-inspector MANTA SILVIA – spokeswoman, chief agent FRANGULEA ADRIAN – a proximity policeman within the Bârlad Police.
We thank Cinema Victoria Bârlad, who received us with warmth and hosted the event.
