The thirteenth edition of the Crime Prevention Week took place between October, 2-6, this year. The police officers from the Departments for Crime Prevention, Public Order, Road Brigade, Transportation, Judiciary, and Crime Fighting, organize daily, at a national level, awareness-rising and information activities for crime prevention in Romania.
Today, October 5, 2017, was dedicated to family crime prevention. As such, we participated, together with the Institute for Crime Prevention and Research within the Romanian Police, in an event which gathered around 100 students from the Faculty of Sociology and Social Assistance in Bucharest.
We discussed, together with some special guests, Mr. Dr. Cristian Andrei, Mrs. Maria Voinea, Ph.D. professor, and Mr. George Cristian Curcă, medical director of INML “Mina Minovici” in Bucharest, about the phenomenon of domestic violence, the way in which violent people act, the way in which the relationship with a violent person grows, the way in which we should act and what measures we should take when our partners become violent, as well as how to prevent such things from happening.
We thank the Romanian Police for this initiative, the guests for their speeches, and the participants for being there with us.
