
In the series of events organized with the support of the US Embassy on November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, at the American Corner in Bucharest will take place the projection of the documentary “Broken Wings”, part of the national campaign to prevent domestic violence with the same name realised with the Romanian Police with the financial support of Kaufland Romania.
Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy, Mr. Dean Thompson, will address a few words in the opening of the event. The documentary will be screened in Romanian, with subtitles in English, and has a duration of 30 minutes.
Watching the documentary will be followed by a discussion in which will take part Simona Voicescu, Founder and Executive Director of the Necuvinte Association, along with specialists in the area of fighting against domestic violence and civil society partners. High school students from Bucharest are also invited at the event.
Also at the event will be presented the photo exhibition “Making of” the documentary realised in the summer of 2015 at Târgșor Women’s Penitenciary. The photographs were taken by Radu Iacob. More details about Radu on Instantanee de Rai.
