In 2000, the United Nations General Assembly set November 25th as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Since 1991, the International Campaign for the Elimination of Violence against Women and Girls has been launched, marking the series of 16 days of activism that takes place every year between November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) and December 10 ( International Human Rights Day (adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights).
This year, Necuvinte Association in partnership with the Romanian Police and the Embassy of the State of Israel in Romania launches the campaign “The fight against domestic violence is not women’s mission”. Campaign supported by Alka.
The campaign was created from the association’s belief since its inception that change occurs only when men participate in this dialogue too. The role of men is essential in combating gender-based violence and being a man is not the same as being an aggressor. You can read more about the story of this campaign here.
