On March 7th, in Aula Magna of The Law School Necuvinte Association and The Institute for Research and Prevention of Criminality from the Romania Police organized an event for preventive education regarding domestic violence.

The Safety Guide for the Victims of Domestic Violence was distributed during the event, and the representatives from Necuvinte Association and The Romanian Police talked with the participants about their role în preventing and fighting against domestic violence both from the perspective of future law practitioners, but also as simple citizens who can condemn and sanction this phenomenon.

At the end of the event, the students participated in an exercise în which they were asked to write a thank you note to a special woman in their life.  After this exercise, three letters were drawn, and, with the support of the Ibis Hotels, the winners were rewarded with a dinner for two at one of the Ibis Hotels.

The event is part of the “Broken Wings” national campaign launched in the summer of 2016. As part of the campaign, in January 2017, over 800.000 educational materials printed on recycled paper were distributed in all the police stations in the country.
