As part of this year’s #16daysofactivism, we launched the “Red Flags” campaign, a campaign aimed at people at the beginning of relationships. We can learn together to prevent forms of violence, harassment, coercion and manipulation by paying attention to the signs from the first dates.
The first date can tell us a lot about the other person, from the way they behave, speak, gestures, facial expressions, we can find out if there is a chemistry between us, but we can also find out if it is necessary to take certain behaviors much more seriously as they may seem harmless at first.
Anglophone countries call these behaviors “red flags” – that is, attitude and signs that should attract our attention.
The first meeting is accompanied by curiosity, excitement and often comes with an avalanche of emotions leaving us blinded and we don’t always distinguish between a healthy behavior and a toxic one. Moreover, sometimes it can take a negative, uncomfortable or even dangerous turn.
If you have ever felt that your barriers were violated, you felt embarrassed, insecure, emotionally, physically or sexually assaulted by the person you interacted with on the first date, share your experience with us in the form of audio statements anonymous. Help us make your voice heard so other girls and women know what to look out for in the future.
We promise you that you will be safe, that everything will be confidential, that audio statements will be made respecting anonymity and even distorted voice on request.
If you want to be part of our project, you can send us a message on one of our online accounts and our colleagues will contact you as soon as possible with more details.
