200 years with the Romanian Police
According to art. 50 of Law no. 218 of 23.04.2002, the date of March 25th was designated as the Romanian Police Day. The choice of this date is related to the Christian symbol of the Annunciation on the first flag of the Great Age, a symbol that was taken over on the current flag of the Romanian Police.
This year, between March 23rd and 25th, crime prevention activities take place on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Romanian Police.
On March 23, in an event organized at the “Dimitrie Gusti” National Village Museum in Bucharest, an award ceremony was held for Romanian Police partners, non-governmental organizations and companies that have supported prevention campaigns over the years. of various criminal phenomena.
On this occasion, in the presence of the Chief Commissioner of Police Ramona Dabija, the director of the Institute for Crime Research and Prevention and the Chief Commissioner of Police Ștefan-Andrei Lință, Deputy Chief Inspector General of the Romanian Police, Necuvinte Association was awarded for the entire activity carried out in partnership with the Romanian Police with the distinction “Diploma of Excellence for the contribution to crime prevention“.
