How do young Romanians relate to inequality?
“The purpose of the exhibition ‘Inequality through the teenage lens’ is to answer this question, reflecting on the problems of today’s society, from racism, sexual assault, cyberbulling and the intellectual capacity of women in the modern world. Through drawing, painting, photographs, collages, films and literature, the voice of young Romanians is heard.“

Our goal?
If we want to end the cycle of inequality in Romania, we must first understand how today’s young people – neighbors, voters, police, politicians – perceive inequality and how it affects them.
Through the art exhibition centered around this topic and which promotes the works of young artists, we set out to start a conversation open to all generations, about the problems we face, the solutions we can implement and the communities in which we must intervene. when it comes to gender inequality in Romania.” – GirlUp Romania team

The exhibition took place on September 26 and 27, at the M60 Space, displaying a total of 26 pieces from young people from all over the country.

- Alexandru Antonescu – collage ‘Black lives matter’
- Angela Costin – film
- Cristina Rădoaica – painting ‘Boys don’t cry’
Each of the exhibition winners were awarded with the amount of: 372,57 Ron.
