Gala of Excellence

On November 3rd, in Sibiu, took place the “Liberal women reward the excellence” Gala, an event which was meant to recognise the importance of women’s participation in the public and political life and to appreciate women’s performances.

Along with the representatives of the civil society, there were also present the First Domain Carmen Iohannis and the President Klaus Iohannis, Mrs. Doris Pack, the President of the Women’s Organization of the European People’s Party and other representatives of the women’s organisations from all the counties across the country.

During the event organised at Thalia Hall, moderated by Lucian Mândruță, there have been honoured 10 women who have had an impressive impact in their specific areas of activities.
We are pleased and honoured to announce that one of our colleagues, Simona Voicescu, was one of the 10 women who received an award during this event – the “Voice for Life” Prize, for the entire activity carried out at Necuvinte Association.

Awards received during the event:

  • The “Passion and professionalism in education”  award – Prof Dr Liliana Romaniuc, President of the Romanian Literacy Association
  • The “Dedication and vocation in education” award – prof Florentina Ileșan Sibiu
  • The “The angel of the premature infants” award – Dr. Livia Ognean, neonatologist
  • The “From the heart, for children” award – Gabriela Alexandrescu, Executive President „Save Children”
  • The “Entrepreneurship has a soul” award – Doina Cepalis, successful entrepreneur, contributes to the development of 30 children from the rural disadvantaged areas
  • The “Talent and inspiration” award – Anca Mona Mariaș, professor, composer, conductor
  • The “Voice for life” award – Simona Voicescu, Director Necuvinte Association
  • The “The beauty of perseverence” award – Lidia Leahu, model in a wheelchair Atipic Beauty and president of the Abilidy organisation
  • The “Promoter for a different type of politics” award – Daniela Cîmpean, President of CJ Sibiu
  • The “Talent and performance” – The table tennis team of Romania.
