The Committee for Equal Opportunities for  Women and Men in the Chamber of Deputies organized a video conference yesterday, November 25, on PREVENTING AND COMBATING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – NEW CHALLENGES IN PANDEMIC.
Discussions focused on the need for a combined intervention of the authorities and civil society on the fight against violence against women in this period marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Our colleague, Simona Voicescu, discussed with the participants aspects of the state of emergency, respectively alert, which directly and indirectly affect victims of violence, as well as possible plans and proposals for concrete measures to eliminate the scourge of domestic and sexual violence against women, for a Romania safe for all its citizens.
The event was attended by members of the Romanian Parliament, the European Parliament, representatives of the Government and governmental institutions, representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of non-governmental associations and organizations.
